We are looking for a Managing Associate to join our market-leading Finance team in Frankfurt. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside leading finance lawyers on high-value domestic and cross-border transactions for an exceptional international client base.
What You'll Do:
- Advise clients on a broad range of domestic and cross-border financing transactions, acting for international banks, financial institutions, corporate borrowers, private equity sponsors and investment funds.
- Draft, review and negotiate key finance documents, taking increasing ownership of matters and transaction workstreams.
- Manage complex transactions from inception to completion, coordinating with clients, opposing counsel and multidisciplinary teams across jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Finance, Corporate, Restructuring, Real Estate and Tax to deliver commercially focused, high-quality legal advice.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing pragmatic, business-oriented solutions on high-value matters.
- Develop your technical expertise and career through hands-on experience, structured training, mentoring and regular feedback.
- Contribute to the continued success of the team through business development, knowledge sharing and a commitment to exceptional client service.
- At least 5 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) gained at a leading international or comparable national law firm.
- Strong technical expertise across a broad range of banking and finance matters, including real estate finance, acquisition finance, corporate lending, syndicated and bilateral facilities, refinancing and general corporate finance transactions.
- Experience advising a diverse client base, including financial institutions, corporate borrowers, private equity sponsors and other market participants, with the ability to deliver commercially focused, pragmatic legal advice.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and transaction management skills, together with strong communication and relationship-building abilities and the confidence to work directly with clients and senior stakeholders.
- A collaborative and proactive approach, with a commitment to mentoring junior lawyers, contributing to business development and supporting the continued growth of the practice.
