Chief Accountant (m/f/x) for Wessel-Werk Poland

As a medium-sized company headquartered in Reichshof-Wildbergerhütte in North Rhine-Westphalia, about 50 kilometers east of Cologne, we have been developing and manufacturing vacuum cleaner nozzles and accessories for more than 50 years. Our portfolio ranges from standard and electric nozzles to turbo brushes, as well as energy-efficient and multifunctional products for use in households, commercial settings, and industry. In addition, we also offer our customers customized solutions for country- or device-specific requirements, or tailored to their individual needs.

Chief Accountant (m/f/x) for Wessel Werk Poland

• Verification, posting and reconciliation of transactions incl. asset accounting & IC-reconciliations
• Prepare payment proposals and payment runs
• Preparation of statutory financial statements incl. P&L and balance sheet
• First contact person for local auditors; leading of yearly statutory audit in Poland
• AR & AP analysis incl. payment reminder and cash collection processes
• Permanent process improvement of local Finance
• Key user of a new ERP system (SAP B1)
• Core contact person between Group Finance & Local Finance
• Prepare financial & legal documents for relevant stakeholder as banks, insurances & auditors
• Project Manager – insourcing accounting from external to internal accounting

Managerial Functions

• Coordination and control of German accountants within matrix organisation

• Successful studies in accounting. Ideally with expertise in Polish Accounting GAAP
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, consolidation & ideally project management
• Ideally SAP B1 or SAP knowledge and implementation experience
• Polish language skills in writing is a plus
• English language in writing and speaking as a must (A1 level)
• German language in writing and speaking is a plus
