We are looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant (f/m/d) to join our team in Munich. This is a key standalone role within an international Group environment with direct exposure to headquarters and full responsibility for the accounting scope of our German entity.

  • Manage full bookkeeping and general ledger accounting under German GAAP (HGB)
  • Lead monthly, quarterly and year-end closing
  • Prepare and deliver management accounts to Group HQ (France)
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and fixed asset accounting
  • Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations
  • Handle VAT returns and corporate tax topics in coordination with external tax advisors
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory and tax requirements
  • Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related qualification
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in an international SME or subsidiary environment
  • Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and the German tax environment
  • Experience with monthly reporting within a Group structure
  • Strong command of Excel and ERP systems
  • Fluent German and good English
  • Structured, reliable, and able to work independently in a h ands-on environment
