Global Commercial Manager Commercial Planning & Business Development (m/f/d)
Commercial Strategy & Business Development
- Lead the development of business cases for new initiatives, including market entry strategies, channel expansions and portfolio plays.
- Translate strategic opportunities into financially sound plans, supported by robust modelling, sensitivity analyses, and clearly articulated assumptions.
- Support the creation and refinement of global commercial roadmaps that drive sustainable revenue, growth, and profitability.
- Own the annual commercial planning cycle and support it across all regions and markets.
- Ensure alignment of market-specific plans with global strategy, identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities.
- Facilitate decision-making by providing high-quality commercial insights and synthesized strategic recommendations.
Market Intelligence & Performance Management
- Develop and maintain market scorecards, integrating KPIs, competitive analysis, channel performance, and customer development metrics.
- Conduct regular commercial performance checks to identify trends, outliers, and improvement levers.
- Support global markets with analytical insights that enhance forecasting quality and commercial execution.
Channel & Customer Strategy
- Lead channel profitability planning and scenario modelling across owned and third-party channels.
- Create customer development roadmaps in collaboration with regional teams, ensuring consistent, scalable global frameworks.
- Contribute to shaping a holistic distribution strategy aligned with brand, commercial, and financial objectives.
- Master's degree in business economic or similar study.
- Proven track record in (inhouse) consulting, corporate strategy, or business development, ideally in a global consumer goods environment.
- Strong financial modelling skills and deep analytical orientation to build business cases.
- High comfort level with financial metrics, forecasting, KPIs, and performance management.
- Experience working with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, influence without authority, and drive alignment across regions.
- Solid commercial understanding of consumer goods, including channels, pricing, customers, and distribution.
- Self-starter mindset: proactive, curious, adaptable, and able to operate in fast-moving, evolving environments.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of creating clear storylines and executive-ready presentations.
