Finance Manager / Senior Accountant (m/f/d)
- Project Eaden GmbH
- Berlin
Global protein consumption is skyrocketing—especially meat. And that's creating massive challenges for health, climate, and animal welfare. At Project Eaden, we're tackling this head-on with our patented fiber spinning technology: plant-based meat with authentic texture and taste. Our LEKKA products are already in millions of homes across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
We're looking for an experienced Finance Manager to build our financial systems as we scale our plant-based meat business.
You've got solid finance and accounting chops and want more than just back-office work? You want to actively shape a food tech company with a real mission? This is your chance to build financial processes where precision meets genuine impact.
You'll own our day-to-day financial operations and drive our reporting and planning processes. You'll work closely with our leadership team and external advisors—delivering clean accounting, smart cash management, and solid compliance.
Key responsibilities
Financial Operations Management: You'll run day-to-day accounting—from AP and AR to collections and GL management. You ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
Financial Reporting: You'll prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financials with P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow. Your management reports and financial analyses drive strategic decisions.
Cash Management: You'll keep our cash position tight and coordinate payment planning across all teams. You make sure we stay liquid while keeping operations running smoothly.
Cost Accounting: You'll handle product costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing cost analysis. Your data-driven insights help us optimize production costs.
Compliance & Controls: You'll work closely with our tax advisors and auditors, ensure we meet all standards, and maintain our internal control system. You'll lead on audits and tax matters.
Professional Experience: 3-4 years in finance or accounting, ideally from manufacturing, food, or high-growth companies. You know financial reporting, budgeting, and cost accounting.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or similar. Professional accounting certification (e.g., Bilanzbuchhalter) is a plus.
Tech Skills: You're proficient with ERP systems, know Finway, Moss, and DATEV, and you're strong in Excel and financial modeling. Ideally you're already using AI tools in finance—or you're ready to dive in.
Analytical Mindset: You've got an eye for detail, solve problems systematically, and deliver solid financial analyses, variance analyses, and performance reports.
Communication: You can translate complex financial data into clear insights and love working cross-functionally with operations, sales, and management.
Compliance Know-how: You know HGB, tax requirements, and financial compliance. Food industry experience is a plus but not required.
Languages: Fluent German required. Strong English written and verbal.
What you get
Competitive salary + ESOP participation, 25 days vacation, modern equipment (MacBook, monitors), Urban Sports Club membership and Dance e-bike leasing. You'll report to our Finance Lead and work closely with executive management. As we grow the company, this role can evolve over time with the opportunity to build a team and increase impact. Real ownership in shaping our finance processes.
